Miss Playful and Mister Cool
The story of Miss Playful, Mister Cool and their outfits
By Tina Eriksson May 5th 2008
Miss Playful always liked to try on different outfits. Each morning she would open the big
doors to her wardobe and run her finger across the frilly blouses, bubble skirts and
pretty dresses. One early morning she tried on four outfits in front of the mirror,
carefully considering which one would suit this sunny day the best. Upon her final choice
she slipped into her happy shoes and tripped out the door.
Mister Cool woke up one morning to find a package on his dresser. It was sealed with a big
green ribbon and had a note attached that said; “I know you dislike doing laundry, so
here’s something clean to hold you over. I love you, mom.” He opened it up to find the
perfect t-shirt that fit him just right. He pulled it over his head, stepped into his
stone washed jeans and finished off his look with a pair of sunglasses and his digital
watch before stepping out the door.
Miss Playful walked to the park and had a seat under a tree where she opened up her book
to read a couple pages in the sun. Mister Cool came walking with headphones in his ears
and music streaming from his iPhone. As he passed a big apple tree he could not help but
stare, below the big tree trunk sat a pretty little girl. Beside her lie a purse bright as
the sun and around her neck was a necklace made of stars. Mister Cool took five steps
around the tree and sat down right beside her. He let his hand touch hers as her big blue
eyes looked deeply into his. “Let’s sit here together until the sun sinks behind the end
of the earth”, she said. And he smiled as he agreed.
